I received a spam/garbage private message from this account.

An account similar to this one sent a similar private message to the members of my forum and I deleted the account.

User was banned.

Please keep a eye out for these things, but we do not believe this will become a repeat problem. Supraforums and 300zx club uses the same security measures that we do. If we do see a further problem we can enact stricter policies, but we would rather not have to.

Got the same and forwarded to Jeremy, Believe it's taken care of.

Had the same thing happen on a couple local sites up here. We caught them pretty quick. Haven't seen it happen at 300zxclub. We keep it pretty locked down.

Yea it's taken care of. Also, we have the same security here as we have on 300zxClub :) From all that we can tell, this person actually went down the list of the most recent few hundred members or so and sent them PM's individually! It wasn't a bot I don't believe...most members did not get the PM. So, some spammer had WAYYYY too much time on their hands.

That's what I was thinking, not a bot. Thank god we finally got a good filter on the Branson site, the porners were driving me nuts trying keep them cleared out. Some of it was getting pretty rank, even for an old timer like me.
