There is no waiting list for GTR's
You either pre-order one or you don't.
If the dealer has enough allocation he can order you a car. If he doesn't well look for your car in 2010-2011. Once they have sold there allocation, there is no more until the 2010 model.

the waiting list is the Nissan Req Downpayment with pre-order signed...so it is a waiting list, if you are waiting for a car, its a waiting list to me...either way MSRP is the only way to go! much repsect to the dealers out there not over charging!!

well if you have a legitement pre-order, you should have an order number very soon. I wouldn't call that a waiting list, I would just say you placed an order and your car is coming. I realize that you don't like dealers that charge over msrp but remember MSRP stands for suggested retail price, we as dealers don't like consumers that want to buy the average car for dealer invoice, but we accept that many times. This is our way of making it back, for years we have been selling Nissan cheap and have made our name big and have sold many cars...thus earning 7 GTR. more than most dealers. Now its time we get paid!
Thank You Nissan is what I think!

then why doesnt Japan the over charge? LMAO! its just the mindset of most americans...MSRP to me means what the cost...you already make enough money, I know! I have a few drinks in higher places in the car biz...now if you sold at invoice that is a differnt story...@ MSRP you are already making a few bucks off us customers...Nissan did not make the car to sell over MSRP, I think NA Nissan HQ will change the rules on the next allotment if not sooner...

Oh boy, here we go again... I hate hearing this back and forth about what's right vs what's wrong. Here's the reality of it, dealers (most) are charging over MSRP. I hope you're able to get one at MSRP but the chances of that (without a very long wait) are slim. My fingers are crossed for you, and I hope one turns up but by now, word would have gotten out a long time ago about confirmed MSRP deals and all they'd have left would be post 2010 allocation.

yea this is what i'm fearing. if i dont get one now, i wont be able to get my hands on one by end of 2009-2010. also right now we dont know how the market will be when it comes out and by next year and so on. so not sure if it will go down to msrp by 2010 and i dont think i can wait either. i'm probably just going to order mines next week with 10k premium if i dont find a dealer in the next couple of days. just trying to save some money, i just hate paying high premiums when buying a new car. thanx for the comments and advices. keep them comming and if anyone finds a good deal.... let me know.

TERE! THANKS AGAIN! I hope to meet you one day and shake your hand! BLACK on grey is my option for now, it was a toss up! My wife said no to the Gun Metal, which I liked and since my last car inthestates was white, i had to go with black....

I hope to get her painted flat black or a flatt eggplant color one day ;)
