Greetings everyone, my name is Jeff and new to this group and very happy to be member. It’s been ages since I have ever posted anything online...

Here is my situation:

I am currently in Seoul, Korea been here 17 months now and was in Tokyo, Japan for the past 4 years and was in Seattle prior to Japan.

I work for the US Government and a former Marine Scout Sniper and US Army War vet.

I want the new GT-R! I am looking for referrals and people to point me in the right direction. I do not want to be ripped off by all these money hungry dealers out there. I will either personally pick up the car once delivered to the dealer or have it shipped to me here. I will be in the states on vacation in late June or early July...

I have contemplated on purchasing a new GT-R from Japan, for the prices are cheaper in Japan rather then the states, since of the fair market value in the states B.S.!! If you can provide me with solid facts that I can import the new R35 GT-R Jspec back to the states legally I will then buy a GT-R from Japan...

Need your help and advice!

PM me or email me…jeff2ko555@aol.com

thanks

It is legal to import, however if you're bringing it from Japan, they are on a waiting list as well. If you wanted one in Japan right now, you couldn't just walk in the dealer and buy one as far as I've read. The production numbers for the entire world are staggering low, I believe it's 1,000 units a month for the entire world, 12,000 units a year.

its not hard getting one from japan...and that is rare!
There are a few sitting in dealers show cases and they can track on down you want from another dealer, its a great network system in Japan.

Usually there is no car in the new dealers just a few low end models for display, and they build your car per order, keeps them from having to store the cars around...most people want the car they want built...takes a few months...

but the GTR had such an impact and long wait, the dealers have like 2 on display and are selling them now...MSRP!! but if you hag them you can get a little discount ;)
