Australian GT-R first run at the drag strip... the speed limit was kicking in at the end, thus holding the speed back...

they have the gps governators on the Austrailian version, too? How much better time you think it would run with out it?

I am very curious to see what the 60-foot time is! The car will easily trap up in the 120mph range with no problems. The 7.9 eighth mile time is impressive for a stock car!

The Au version is not officially released yet. So what they got are the Japanese version.

11.6 in the 1/4 mile is very impresseve. I wonder what Mines will do in the 1/4 mile.

For us, non-drag racers, what is the significance of the 0-60' time and what would be considered a good 0-60' time?

0-60 is important because that can sometimes mean a win or loss at the track. Basically, the faster you can get up to speed from a stop increases your chances of winning. Some of the Supra owners who drag have a 1.3-1.4 sec 0-60' time to give you an example.

Just a correction.
0-60' is not the same as 0-60. 0-60' is specifically and usually always associated with drag strips (refering to to amount of time it takes for a vehicle to move from a stand still to the 60 foot mark.) **0 - 60' (where ' = feet in distance) **
where as if you read something claiming 0-60 times, it is usually refers to the amount of time it takes for a car to hit 60 miles per hour from a stand still) **0 mph - 60 mph.**
*** (the ' is the key giveaway here. You probably just overlooked it, but just in-case; it is the symbol for a "foot" measurement in distance.)

ditto
better tires (DRs) and firmer rear suspension (decrease center of gravity shifting rearward at launch), probably 1.5s:D
