Amuse is a well known tuner in Japan. Front lip looks very nice to me.:D

Very nice,

I don't know about the wing, but I'm sure its functionality is greater than its height. :p

God Bless,

Judging from the size and width, I am sure it "should be" functional at high speed :D Hopefully that's a adjustable one.

Amuse were testing their new front aero canards at Tsukuba.
Unfortunately they were unable to go under a minute with the canards. Interesting fact that after removing the canards they were able to set a lap time of 59.916 seconds which making this R35 GT-R second only to Mine’s around Tsukuba Circuit.

The reason why is because Nissan spent countless hours in the wind tunnel and as a stock body supposedly has the best aerodynamics. I am sure they will be improved on in the future but for now...

On a side note, for any gamers out there. All the games with the R35 in it, if you modify anything on the car, you actually lose power and handling... (think Nissan had there had in that choice?)...

I agree, I'd wait until Nismo comes out with a bodykit for it before I'd do anything with it. And honestly, the rear spoiler just seems to be too much. Yeah, might be good for track purpose but not visually pleasing at all. reminds me of the 90's JZA80 big whale wing. However, the ECU and the Titan exhaust me likey... LOL... Hmm... not sure about aftermarket suspension cause doesn't it takes away the factory suspension adjustments? Again, if I only plans to use this car for track only not everyday driving I would do it but for everyday uses? I'd rather not touch the suspension.

I've read that in the regular mode the ride is still pretty stiff that comfort mode was the equivalent of a regular car. The are supposedly tuning the suspension different for US models so the ride will be a little less rough.

The front air dam looks sloppy and destroys the lines of the front end. Rear spoiler also ruins the symmetry of the lines (it looks like a cartoon).

It's just sounds even more like a 350Z with Amuse Titan-R exhaust note.. Which is just music to my ears. I guess u can't really sound much more different given that it's actually based on the VQ engine design but modified and stroked out anyone has more specs on the difference between VQ and VR design?

Amuse's upgrades:

Normal power : 481.5ps at 6148rpm (stock ecu with speed limit disabled)
Running at 5th gear

Power gain from muffler & cat: 506.2ps @6159rpm
Power after tuning (ECU + Straight MUFFLER & CAT): 585.2ps @6566 rpm

Modification to ECU: remove speed limit, raise boost (didn't mention at what boost), The modding of the VR38DETT's ECU enables the engine to use different boost pressures at different rpms.

Nice fine ATL Supra, I believe the boost is around 0.9~1.1 Kpa cause I saw in the BMV when it was running on the dyno at Amuse.
Couple more things too, the Amuse GTR is lowered by a "Sleeve type coilover springs" Which is nothing more than utilizing factory shocks and changes their own spring/height adjustable sleeve so u can adjust the height of the car.
F/R tire size (285/35/20front, 285/35/20Rear) Dunlop SP Sport600 DSST (Amuse car)
While Factory OEM are 255/40R20 front and 285/35R20 rear.
Car is weight in at 1672kg vs 1740kg (JDM OEM Specs)

Following are some of the Parts avail. for the R35 GTR from Amuse
Front lip/Diffuser $1350USD (provides more downforce and 30mm longer than factory front lip, 5.8kg vs 6.4kg OEM)
Rear wing (Dry Carbon) $4700USD (Adjustable centre wing)
Recaro SP-A(Carbon) Seats (37.5kg weight saving, as well as somesorta tools removal at 21.8kg weight saving)
R1-Titan STTI Cat-back exhaust $3850USD (8.7kg vs 17.45kg OEM)
R1-Titan High flow Cat/Down pipe $2890USD (7.6kg vs 13.6kg OEM)
Adjustable Coilover kit w/pillowball upper mount(Uses factory shocks)
$2180USD

Actually I believe 0.9 to 1.1 KPA (or BAR) is the stock boost range.

Info from Japanese magazine regarding Amuse GT_R

ECU cracked archiving 7300rpm red limit with max power at 6,500rpm with HKS EVC5 boost controller. The car is equipped with Amuse muffler system and catalytic converter and ECU.

Boost is 1.25bar and the car made 611.1ps horsepower with 79.8kgm torque. That's pretty nice..

Given that my friend's 335i has been to the dealership 3 different times since he's owned it due to random dashboard electronic problems, my next car purchase is going to be a japanses car, GTR to be exact.

What's a "downpipe", what does it do, and where does it fit in relation to the cats and the catback muffler?

Down pipe also known as front pipe connects to the cats.
Pipe from manifold to cats.

Switching from an exhaust manifold to exhaust headers (also known as extractors in Australia) will decrease the amount of back pressure and in turn increase the high-end power of the engine. This is done by using an individual pipe for each exhaust port that has smoother bends, decreasing airflow resistance. The pipes then merge together at a collector and then flow into a larger pipe (down pipe), just before the catalytic converter.

So, the full exhaust, front to back, actually consists of 4 sections. I didn't know that, thnx. I'll bet headers for that thing, downpipe, high flow cats, and mufflers are gonna cost a small fortune! I'm thinking high flow cats and muffler alone at this point. BUT, I got almost 6 months to think about it! ;)
