Edmunds states that Nissan confirmed at the Tokyo Motor Show that a 2010 model Nissan GT-R Spec-V will be released about one year after the regular GT-R goes on sale here in the USA. It is rumored to be near completion, much lighter weight, and have a bit more power. Can't wait! :)
cant wait to see what it dose at the ring.

I'm sure Toyota and Mazada are watching closely.

Toyota is taking a closer look than Mazda.

I heard a LITTLE but about the Supra but none about an NSX. It seems like 1990 all over again. Nissan, Toyota, Honda, and Mazda will have their supercars at it again. Well probably not Mazda.
I know! Its an exciting time to be an enthusiast again!

This would be awesome if there is competition between car companies like in the early 90s.

I'm anxious to hear about what exactly Nissan plans for the spec-v GTR. Are they going to come out with a Z Tune version, or only the Spec-V?

what about the evolution version of the GTR when is that supposed to come out?
i've read some stuff saying it would come out 6 to 8 months after the release of the Spec-V or is that just more rumor?

I think spec V is the evolution version of the car. There is no official words yet, so not really sure when spec V is coming out.
I hope its not just an uncivil gutted version of the GT-R

Recent Japanese magazine has some information regarding GT-R Spec V model. Looks like they going to tune up the car to 520hp, and reduce weight to 1640 kg (3616lbs) Noticed the special air ducts on the front bumper (similar to old Skyline GT-Rs). Price will be 4,000,000 - 5,000,000 yen ($37,000-$46,000 USD) higher than regular GT-R.

mmmm, just under a 100kg weight reduction and a small-modest power increase, I wonder how much better it will be ??
Looks ok in that pic, but I prefer the cleaner lines and full painted look of the base car...
I did read that there will be an even higher performance 'Evo' spec model further down the track, it does look like the engine is capable of far higher outputs :)

According to a Japanese GTR site. It's actually a Racing version/ N1 version of the R35 GTR most likely to be sold to racing teams that participate in the Super Taikyu Series in Japan racing against GT3RSR etc. Now I just wonder if Nissan USA would get involve in the Speed GT Challenge with a pair of the new R35 GTR.

Not to mention it's spaculated will cost around $120,000USD~$130,000USD. It better be major improvement in every aspect from the Base car we are getting this spring.
But again this is just some random post by some magazine in Japan, no official specs on the V-spec has been released just yet.
-My bet is that it will come standard with lighter and wider wheels/tire size with Bridgestone RE55S (R-compound) shod.
-A heck of a lot more Dry carbon body/Aero parts as well as Carbon Fibre front seats, roof, trunk, Hood?
-7-spd Semi Auto tranny?
- Rear seat delete?
- Carbon Ceramic Brakes?
- 550~600hp?
- Carbon suspension parts?
- Height Adjustable as well as bound and re-bound adj. coilover suspension?
-active aero? (Electronically adjustable rear wing? as well as front spoiler?
