US call it V1 (old) to V2 (latest)
JDM model before June 2008 is using the oldest 04 software, then 07 software (V1) then up to date is 09 (V2)
My August 2008 GTR finally upgrde to 09 this Monday. why took so long? because for ex-performance freak like me concerned about the V2 or called 09 upgrade will degrade the launch performance. despite Nissan anounced that 09 faster than 07 or 04 software... for me it's a lie to cover up thier GR6 transmission's weakness(since R32 to R35:mad:). that's why they drop the LC rpm to below 3000rpm now (most get 2600~2800rpm only). when 0~400m V1 faster than V2. Lucky the V2 more suitable for Malaysia daily driving conditions... tons of bumps,stop and go.
Our US friend MC teach us the trick for V2 by double step on the gas, it will act like V1 goes to 4500rpm+-.... but we can't find a living proof here, we don't want to upgrade then "downgrade" again.
Finally thanks to Keith from MB auto (SIN) confirm of that, and he hold all the version softwares. so haha:D, I finally upgrade to 09 (Malaysia somwhere). and engage timing adjust to +1.
