What are the best race tracks in Arizona ?
Not necessarily for serious racing, but for guys who just want to have fun & improve our driving skills.
I would like to find a good track where I'll be able to reach that 190 MPH marker.
I'm in Tucson so curious to know what is local, but am also interested in what Phoenix has to offer.

Okay here's my results after some brief research.
Firebird International Raceway which has 3 different circuits, each with a unique configuration.
Google map (http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=20,000+S.+Maricopa+Road,+Chandler,+Arizona+8522&sll=32.042314,-110.78124&sspn=0.029429,0.066047&ie=UTF8&ll=33.26982,-111.962121&spn=0.014998,0.033023&t=h&z=16)
Tuscon has an oval called Raceway Park:

Then, out of pure luck, I stumbled upon another track... an absolute monster ring! Plus 3 circuits inside of the ring itself (although 2 appear to be under construction). I literally found it by randomly looking around the Arizona in Google satellite view. Before I share the link, perhaps someone can guess which track it is.

There was one undergoing construction a couple of years ago, but it was halted by government officials in the area. It was somewhere NW of Phoenix on Route 60.

Really, the gov't shut it down ?
Damn, this is probably the same one we are talking about. Here it is, just NW of Phoenix:
Google map link (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=phoenix&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=48.956293,114.169922&ie=UTF8&ll=33.748465,-112.786417&spn=0.050599,0.111494&t=h&z=14&iwloc=A)
Check out the size of that MONSTER ring. You'd be able to hit 194 MPH and keep your foot on the floor for a good chunk of time. I cannot believe how big that track is. It would be such a shame if in fact the construction was canceled.
