We have received the best invitation in town!!

WINGS & WHEELS at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum has extended an invitation to us to participate in their June 20 program. We will be the center point (except for the aircraft) for the June program. WE NEED A BIG TURNOUT FOR THIS RARE INVITE.

LET ME KNOW ASAP THAT YOU WILL ATTEND SO I CAN ADVISE THEM; they have advertising to do and need a good number to use. I told them we should be able to get 10-20 firm commitments from our group. Function is from 10am to 2pm; gates will open at 9:30 am for us. (Hey, they serve lunch, too!)

A photographer will be there for group and individual pictures.

Where else can you be a part of the largest GTR gathering in the nation?!

The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is located near Hobby Airport. Maps and driving instructions will be sent to you later.

So, pleeeeeeeesssee; let's have a major DO! Let me know that you will attend - either respond here or send Personal Message. I need to hear from the Houston area group.

We are nearing the TEXAS BIG meet on Saturday, June 20th.

We need everyone who can to arrive prior to 10 am (gates for the public open at 10 am). Gates for us open at 9:30. Ted99 will be arriving late following a track event.

The busines jets which will be on display will be landing about the same time.

Please plan to stay until at least 1pm if at all possible; later than that would be great.

The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is providing lunch. Go to <www.1940airterminalmuseum.com> on your computer for in-depth information.

There will be a photographer available.

Channel 13 (Houston TV) has been invited.

1940 Air Terminal Museum is the original 1940 terminal at Hobby Airport. The address is: 8325 TRAVELAIR STREET in Houston. Plug this address into your navigation system and your GTR will take you to the right place. Jack (Black GT-R) and I tested it...and it works well.

Also, use the following link to see a map which will give you directions from your location:

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=U...=16&iwloc=A

Peter (houstonT) is setting up a convoy from the Northwest/West side of Houston. Contact him via PM if interested in joining a group drive to the event.

Thanks everyone in advance; the weather looks great; the GTR participation looks great; the Museum looks great. We should have a fantastic day. This venue is very family oriented, so bring the kids who will enjoy the planes.

Thanks all. See everyone on Saturday. Let me know if there are questions.
