HOUSTON area GT-R meet; March 15, 2009

Plans are being formulated for the HOUSTON area GTR group to go en masse from Houston to Texas World Speedway in College Station on Sunday, March 15. Leave Houston mid-morning and return on your own schedule.

I need to know how many will be able to make this trip (which will include a lap around the track as a group and group pictures). Jack, Black GT-R, is arranging the track time for us.

Anyway, time is short for preparation so let me know by responding to this thread or via PM.

I will be getting info back to you asap.

UPDATE --

We will meet Sunday at 10:00am in MACY's parking lot in Willowbrook Mall (249 at Gessner). 249 is also called TOMBALL PARKWAY. We will set up the car order at that time with Jack (Black - GT-R) leading the way.

We plan to leave promptly at 10:30am in line. Should be a great sight. Hope we have a bunch of the GTRs.

If weather looks too bad, I will get a message to everyone early Sunday morning.

UPDATE — Trip (convoy) to TEXAS WORLD SPEEDWAY (near College Station) on Sunday, March 15. (Weather is expected to be A.O.K.)

We will meet Sunday at 10:00am in MACY's parking lot in Willowbrook Mall (249 at Gessner) 249 is also called TOMBALL PARKWAY. At about where 249 crosses FM1960. We will set up the car order at that time with Jack (Black GT-R) leading the way.

We plan to leave promptly at 10:30am in line. Should be a great sight. Hope we have a bunch of the GTRs and others. About 1 hour drive to TEXAS WORLD SPEEDWAY. We will do a highway-speed lap as a group and have a picture made. Return at your own leisure after lunch,.

If weather looks too bad, I will get a message to everyone early Sunday morning but as of now it looks okay.

How was the turn-out?

It was a blustery weather day but a great time was had by all. I have attached one of the pictures from the finish line at Texas World Speedway.
