I'm curious to know how much it's costing Canadian owners for maintenance;

How much is the 1000km service?
How frequently does it need oil change/service and what does it cost?

Anyone had to replace anything else yet, like brakes?

Any Canadian owners go with the OEM winter package or put their own together?

Any info or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The 1600km performance maintenance is free and then you need an oil change at 6000 km. Then you do another free optimization at 1 year. So unless you drive your car like a daily or take it to the track a lot (change fluids more often), its pretty cheap for the first few years.

I was in Vegas for the Nissan sales training for the GTR. Nissan reps said Nissan over engineered every thing with this car, especially the brakes. They figure the life could be in excess of 60 000km if driven normally. If you are at the track, who knows! I blew a caliper in Vegas at the test track and the car had 6800 hard miles on it, and it was 107 Fahrenheit! They also say to change all fluids including brake fluid after all track visits. The Rotors can not be refinished as they are of the floating kind. So once you warp or damage them you are cooked. Do not ask how much a new brake job costs, lots.

I have done about 5-6 hours of track time on my car and the tranny temps were very high and have a total of 11,000 miles on it. I just changed the tranny oil for the first time and sent it out for an analysis. The report came back just fine and the company said I could go 25,000 miles on next change! Seems Nissan is wrong and the oil is fine after raise in Temps.
I will have all the oils checked next change.
