Road America April 18-19, 2009 track weekend event, by Midwest F-Body Club.
I have gone to this event for several years, and it is run well. The track is outstanding. It is a very fun event, with many different brands of cars...many Z06's, Porsches, high HP American muscle, and a number of more exotic cars. There are 4 experience/speed categories, and you can run in whichever you feel most comfortable/have experience for, from Novice to Advanced.

I plan to go with my GTR, and possibly will have my Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 up and running by then as well :)

Great!!!
I just emailed my info and liability form yesterday, and I am mailing my fee etc in today.

My friend Phil Glazatov will be there with his 3000GTVR4...he is a suspension/auto engineer and has a business called Supercar Engineering,
http://www.supercar-engineering.com/
which has alot of specialized stuff for 3000GT's (I have one all modded up)...he deals Carbotech brakepads, and he's going to see what kind of price he can get the Carbotech XP12 pads for the GTR I want to try. I am hoping it is less than the (high) prices out there so far...

excellent, I will run the car stock first and see how it does. I have tires, wheels and brake pad coming but will save that for later date. I will go back there on may 25 with laps inc./ams with the other mods.

Running the stock drilled rotors on the track will just wear them out faster and cause more cracking... Not a bad thing but not good if your looking to prolong the expensive stock rotors which are great for the street. Heck there great for the track performance wise too... Just the downfalls. Just trying to help prolong and help. But you do the math.

But might as well enjoy, and then kill the stock rotors first...then switch to AP's J-Hook's which should last 3-4 times as long...easily. My stock rotors are nearly in pieces have 5 track events.
