Nov. 9th, 2008 Dyno
Fuguman, rgo808 and myself are confirmed.
Cheezwiz and rgo808's friend in an R34 are tentative.
We will meet up at 11 AM EST on Sunday, November the 9th in the Best Buy parking lot:
Perimeter 1201 Hammond Dr Ne Atlanta, GA 30346
It is the one accross the street from Perimeter Mall off of I285.
We will then jump on GA400 and make a dash to the dyno shop:
1360 Oak Industrial Lane, Suite 100, Cumming, Georgia 30041
My car will be strapped down around 1 PM, prior to that, we will be removing the under panels.
There will be a BBQ (not Southern Style, like rgo808 makes)...
"Grill will be there, bring what you would like to eat.
People Bringing food/Drinks eat for free, rest pay-$3 for dog/burger, chips and Drink, $1 for repeat."
Please bring some beer... ehehehe...
Please respond to this thread if you want to go on the dash from Perimeter to the shop.
We need someone to video the run. Anyone want to video tape?
I will also video the under panel removal process, strap down and dyno run.

Let me clear it with my better half. If I go, I've got a video camera and a tripod that I can volunteer.

I hope you can make it. If you are just going for the dash and to watch one of GTRs dyno, then you can get out of there by 2 PM... easily.

That would be AWESOME!!
If you go, a few others might go too!! It will make for some really good video!
It will be like three grays and three blacks. Need a white, red and super silver.
The dyno will be at Niel Orton's shop (Orton Performance).

Hey also, if any of you need an AccessPORT, front pipe, catback, front/rear JDM side markers, etc, we have them in stock and I can bring with me to the meet if you like.

I am sure some of the guys will want the COBB AP after they see the dyno results. There will be two runs. One for a baseline and one with the OCT 93 map flashed.

I would like to meet you guys at the shop if that's okay.

Sure thing!
You don't want to go on the dash up to the shop on 400?
The last time we ran, we did not drive too fast. We kept it safe and passed other cars slowly. I think we averaged 75 MPH.

I don't think I'd make it there by 11:00 and I live in north Alpharetta not too far from Orton.

Ditto here, I'm in the Crabapple/Alpharetta area and probably won't make it down to the perimeter. Maybe we can meet up and catch the other guys on the way up 400 to the dyno shop? Let me know and I'll PM you my cell number.

I just sent an email to Devon in the Super Silver GT-R to see if he wants to join us.

That is great news if he (Devon) can join up!
We still need a Red and White... Anyone know who has one and would want to join up?

What do you guys think about this?
You guys (those who are meeting at 11 at Best Buys) want to meet up with the other two GT-Rs (somewhere in Alpharetta, closer to Orton's) at 11:45 AM prior to arriving at Orton's? It will make a strong impression arriving as one solid group. hehehe

Hey guys,
Steve and I (and possibly an owner of a white GT-R) will be meeting at the Chili's & Macaroni Grill parking lot at ~11:45am, so if you guys coming from the south want to meet us there please do so and we'll head to the dyno at 11:45-noon. Sound good?

I'm still iffy and will have to make my decision tomorrow. We've got people coming to look at the house (but not sure when), so I need to build my schedule around them.

I won the Free Dyno pull, sweet, but to do one now without a Cobb access port would feel wimpy :o
Thanks Neil and thanks for the help Jeremy. Thanks for the turnout GTR owners. TB

What kind of numbers did you guys end up pulling? Does using a C.A.P. affect warranty?

I posted the numbers in a new thread:
http://www.nissangtrclub.com/showthread.php?t=1594
Cobb AP will void your warranty if it is installed and the engine breaks because of it. For example, if you had the Cobb AP tuned to give you a 30 PSI boost and the hoses split or burst. If the engine died when the Cobb AP was not installed, Nissan would have a hard time refusing your claim.
I originally purchased mine for the valet mode, which is supposed to limit rev and speed... (from what I understand) However, I have never used it. I have been using the Cobb Stage 1 93 OCT map.
