I thought I would post it in this forum first since I'm in Phoenix (Ray and 101 area). Anyway, I've been making carbon fiber parts for other cars for a while (mostly mine), but I thought I might expand to the new GTR since it is definitely the hottest thing to ever come to the US. Anyway, I was thinking about making the side grille out of carbon fiber. I work out of my garage, but eventually I hope to expand it.

If there is someone in the Phoenix area who would let me make a mold off of theirs I would gladly give them a set of of the carbon fiber pieces as gratitude. I use 2x2 twill, 3 layers, vacuum infusion, the whole 9. I'd also like to know who is interested in getting a pair if I did make these.

Also, if you have a GTR and want CF parts made, let me know and I can put them together for you. If I use your car as a mold I can work out a pretty good deal to get it to you for cheap, if not free (a hood couldn't be given for free, but I could do it at cost which would be around $500-600).

Total time to make the mold is about 8-10 hours, so you would have to leave your car with me (which I don't imagine anyone would!) or just hang out while I make the mold.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting. I'm in the Cave Creek area. I'd like to bring my GT-R down and see what you have going on.
Let me know when is a good day/time to stop in.

Bill,

Wow, I can't believe I had someone respond that quickly. My place is nothing great, I currently just work inside my garage. I ordered some latex so I can probably cut the mold time down to an hour! It will cut down on other materials I need so I can also cut down on costs.

Cave Creek is a little far to travel, but I appreciate the offer tremendously! I'll PM you my email address and phone number so maybe I can come up there this weekend to meet you and introduce myself and then when I get the materials in we can schedule something.

Thanks again!
