Hey,

using a cone filter will cause the performance to be worse. unless someone makes a special intake box out of carbon fiber and a drop in sqaure filter... you wont get a new filter.

however "Mines" makes a replacement filter and i belive HKS also just offered one.

SOMEONE said that the 2008 G37 has a simular filter. CAN someone verify this or not? If so you can purchase a g37 filter from your fav brand. any one wana find out?

I heat alot about not messing with the intakes because their perfect and anything else will result in HP/tq loss. I would love to see some dyno numbers, some kind of proof.

I mean nissan said dont mess with the car period becasue it is perfected, but aftermarket suspensions, exhaust, ecu's and what not are making this super car even better.

We are in process of finishing some air filters as well, which will not be back ordered.

Whats wrong with the stock air intake? Looks especially well designed to me.

You are right. Most any cone filter will be a drastic decrease in power, as it will suck in substantial amounts of hot air. We are working on free flowing drop in filters, both wet and dry filter elements.

and to add....

This might not show up on the dyno if you are dyno'ing with your hood open, however with the hood closed and the undehood temps exceeding 170 degrees, you could lose a bit of hp :) Placing the intakes where they are currently located, gives you the safest place to draw cooler air from. There is a 3 inch hole there though, if someone wanted to try and shoehorn a couple of cone filters in the front bumper.

HKS just released there filter for usa distribution.

K&N just released there filter also. its the same filter as the "mines" filter but its like only $100 and doesnt come with a fancy metal braket like the mines filter does.

I think thats it right now.
