How does a weekend warrior jack up the GT-R?
I know where the jack points are, but how do you jack it up and then keep it up using a hydraulic jack and four jack stands?

You can't...
Or not that I can see. The best idea we had for securing the vehicle on jack stands, is to use a VERY large piece of plywood, and lifting on the floor pan of the vehicle, but I would not recommend it. In my writeup for exhaust installation, I even suggest only lifting on side, leaving the jack to support wait with a jack stand beside it in case of jack failure.
The GTR is not very friendly to those without lifts.

I found a couple ways to do it.
One way is to buy a four post lift from costco $1700 (delivered).
The other is to get a hydraulic jack that jacks up the car by its wheels.

I just bought one of these: 3000 Lb Tire Lift Vehicle Jack

They are cheap!!!

Nice found! But they are a bit under rated though, that might cause the jack to go bad faster.

The 3000 lbs limit is for the weight it is trying to lift. I am guessing that if you are jacking only one side (or corner), the weight will be less than 3000 lbs... since the dry weight of the GTR is 3800 lbs.

That's true:)

lol, we can try on the S2000 first since that is actually under 3000lb :p

I am still looking for jack stand adapters so I do not mess up the area that I am going to rest the GTR on.

Coming soon!!!
I will be posting instructions on how to jack your GTR up safely.
Still waiting on some prerequisite tools to arrive.

BTW, we bought a set just to try out, they work very nicely!

Where did you get yours? I only bought one, but will buy another one if it works well. I want to jack two sides at the same time so that I do not tweak the frame.

Got them from Harbor Freight Tools at Lilburn, GA store. Don't think you will tweak the frame even with just one :)

Finally got around to installing my Fumoto oil valve and changing my oil:

Those jacks seem sketchy having such a small contact patch on the ground. How stable did the car feel with the front two wheels in the air?
For oil changes I would propose using ramps.
As for the Fumoto valve, I see they have a lifetime warranty, but how reliable are they? If they fail and you loose your oil and spin a bearing, I wonder if their warranty covers engine replacement or overhaul...

We make these nifty pneumatic lifts for race cars. They are very stable and quick.

I don't have any pics of my GTR on them, but I'll post them when I do.

The car was pretty stable. However, I never trust any type of lift system. I had the car on jack stands with the lift still on the wheels as added support. Thos jacks can lift the car, but I think they are very low quality and do not recommend them at all. One of them started to leak hydraulic fluid when I started to lower the car. I will be buying a four post lift.
For oil changes I would propose using ramps.
Most ramps will not work with a low profile car. The only ones that will are the low profile ramps.

Their warranty appears to cover any damages caused directly by their valve failing. I have used one on my STI and it never leaked.

Thanks for the honest review. We've always wanted a four-post lift, but there is not enough height for one in our current garage.
Most ramps will not work with a low profile car. The only ones that will are the low profile ramps.
We made a set of ramps out of high-density polystyrene foam coated in "Rhino-Liner" (the stuff they spray on truck beds). Both the Supra and my Integra have very low ground clearance and fit on the ramps with no problems. Fairly lightweight too!

Their warrany sounds good.
I see you got F103-N, are you planning on routing the oil drain via tube so you do not have to drop the front undercover?

There is actually a little cover that allows you to access the drain valve easily. So, all I have to do is remove one bolt and drain the oil using a tube.
However, I will have to change the oil filter by removing two of the under panels.
But, this is good for doing 2500 mile oil changes... or more frequent, where a filter change is not necessary... especially since I will be using clean oil.

The Fumoto valve is a mechanical device that you place in the oil pan. The Fumoto valve replaces the drain plug. It is useful when you want to drain the oil without the mess traditionally associated when unscrewing the oil drain plug. Usually the drain plug falls into the oil when the plug comes out. This also creates a splash... I have a lot of shirts that have oil stains due to this.

You'll find these points are very similar to German Cars. We are fortunate to have a unique lift with Rubber Blocks to cushen these. You can always use some shorter pieces of 2x4 instead of these blocks to distribute the load and a lowrise jack. You'd likely need to drive up some planks as well to raise the GTR slightly to aid in lifting it. This is what we do for lowered rides like our shop Porsche.
