1. Take your PB blaster, and lubricate the nuts/studs that attach the mid-pipes to down pipes.(although these are new cars, this simple process can prevent hours of frustration should a stud break)
2. While the PB blaster works, go to the rear of the vehicle with your 3/8" tools, and plastic pry tool. Begin removing the plastic clips along the rear bumper. Once those are removed, you can now remove the 12mm and 10mm bolts securing the carbon fiber diffuser. It is useful to have a friend, to help remove the diffuser without damaging it. You will also want to remove the outside finish panels, by removing the 10mm and 12mm bolts, and any clips you may have left behind.
3. Take the 1/2" tools, and return to the mid pipe. Remove the 4 14mm nuts that connect the mid pipe to the down pipes. NOTE: The studs may unthread from the downpipes, this is ok, as long as they do not break. Take the 14mm combination wrench and unbolt the two 14mm nuts that attach the mid pipe to the cat back. Start from the rear of the mid pipe, pushing it to the passenger side of the vehicle, freeing it from the car back, and then pull it down free from the mid pipes.

4. Remove the 4 exhaust tips from the old cat back. The best way is to almost completely remove the securing bolt, and then gently pull on the outside, left to right.

5. I unfortunately did not capture a good picture of this step, there are several thing metal brackets that run across the rear of the vehicle near the mufflers. Remove these at it makes removing the cat back MUCH easier.
6. On most all catback exhausts, you will want to remove the rear lower ground effects to make the exhaust install easier. However on some exhausts you can just put something on the muffler tip surrounds to protect them (we used microfiber towels) then get your friend to help lower the exhaust carefully so you do not scratch the muffler tip surrounds. Take the 12mm 3/8" socket on the 6" extension and start to unbolt the 5 exhaust hangers. Once loose, CAREFULLY lower the exhaust from the vehicle. Place it beside the new 5Zigen cat back to make transferring the hangers easier.

7. Transfer all hangers over, be sure to keep the correct orientation of them. Once you complete this, begin install the pieces. My recommended order is A. Drivers side muffler, B. Passenger side muffler C. Exhaust pipe. Install all hardware only finger tight.

8. Install the new 5Zigen mid pipe, placing the front on first connecting to the down pipes, and then the cat back. You can attach the nuts to the down pipe now.

9. From the rear, align the muffler tips to the bumper, once you are satisfied with their alignment, you may begin tightening the hardware. As there is no immediate specs available, I recommend torquing the fasteners to 18ftlbs.(notice in the following picture how the flange looks off center, this is to achieve proper cosmetic appearance of the tips)

10. Reinstall all the undercarriage parts, lower the vehicle and enjoy your aggressive new sound.
