Congrat FredericM...I love the Titanium.
I was at a local dealership and saw a guy purchase the same color and drive it away...the rims look like a perfect match to the Titanium. Its like they painted them just for this color, and the Brembo calipers jump out at you when you're rolling by.
Great choice with the interior too...I saw a Red GT-R with Light Grey interior and I raced home to email my rep to change my work-order to this awesome interior...I just hope the guys in Japan won't fuss with the change order.
Please post pictures of the interior as well so we can take in the perfect blend of Light Grey and the Black trims...thx!!!
ENJOY HER!

Congrats on the GT-R!!! :) enjoy it! Do you plan on modding it?
Romper: I love your 997S, I just got one myself and plan on messing with it as soon as it gets here. What performance mods have you done to it?

Thanks bro!! I have to admit, I know more about Euro exotics than I do about Asian bullets...that's how I've been describing the GT-R. My 997S was one of the first ones to hit SoCal and had the hype, just like the GT-R has now, within the Porsche world. This was a step up in the world of Porsche, which included upgrades like the 3.8L engine, upgraded suspension, and exhaust which took the HP to 355 on a naturally aspirated. The interior was very clean with all its improvements and the exterior had a new look going, back to the original 993.
I had to be patient because when the car hit the US there were very few companies ready to provide any modifications to the car. I knew I wanted the complete TechArt Package and I took the new car to CEC in Santa Monica (www.cecwheels.com) just two weeks after the car was purchased. These guys know exotics and if you can throw some money at them, they can customize your ride to look bad ass.
I got the complete TechArt Aero-Dynamic package, TechArt Headers Back which includes a 200 cell Cat, and the original ECU was sent to Germany to have it remapped at TechArt (this took 4 weeks). I then had the cleared bra put throughout the car, installed the Passport SR-7 with the shifter to deflect laser detectors (this cost me over $3K with the stealth install). After SEMA '05, it took me 6 months to convince the guys at Vellano Wheels to make a set of rims for my 997 Porsche, you see, the set I wanted was only available for Lambos, Ferrari and Bentley offsets (the ironic thing is the my rims were made in Japan). I love my rims, they're OG and I get a lot comments on how clean it makes the car look.
After throwing the car on a Dyno, I figured out that AWE made a package of headers back that would produce another 10 horses. So, I thru on the EVO air intake with the AWE and I broke into the 390s HP with the new setup.
This whole trip took me two years to complete and I had to be patient to make sure I got the right mods to compliment my style.
The car now has 35K mile and I am selling her to make room for the GT-R. I guess you would describe me as one of the new wave of GT-R lovers. I am really interested in learning everything the GT-R engineers will disclose to us, the end-users, about the car and it’s potential.
Being on this forum and reading all your comments has clearly enlightened me. I appreciate all your input and I hope to be able to use all your insights in building a beautiful car which again will be a reflection of my personality.

Wow, you have definitely put a lot of thought and time into your ride. It's nice to see Porsche lovers switching (and respecting) the GT-R, there's a lot of hate out there, believe me. I'll save my other questions about your 997S for another thread or PM, my journey has just begun! :)

Let me know when you are down for a GT-R drive. I've seen a few GT-R owners here in SoCal LA and LA county but I only met to of the owners (Mike Sage and Daryl). I would like to meet more .
You should try to come out to M-works in Gardena tomorrow from 10am-6pm for a meet/sale.

Sorry, I won't be able to make the event in Gardena. Leaving town tomorrow for a week. I will try to get in touch with you when I return. I would like taking a GTR drive and meet more owners.
Have a great week...Talk to you soon!!

I'll save my other questions about your 997S for another thread or PM, my journey has just begun! :)
I spent the last year and a half researching my next car, which I thought was going to be a 997TT or a slighlty used Gallardo. So, I'm a patient guy. I've read about every possible mod for your 997S. PM me when ever you get closer to pulling the trigger.
BTW, I don't get into play hating any car makers. They all have their own unique features and niches, and eventually their own cult following (which is cool...I guess). I just love driving fast cars and finding other people that like to keep up.;)
